Editorial Services for Speculative Fiction
Jake Lynch Editorial
Polishing science fiction, fantasy, and horror manuscripts for independent authors.

About the Editor
Hi, I'm Jake.
I graduated from Temple University in 2020 with a BA in English. I'm a freelance editor specializing in science fiction, fantasy, and horror. I help speculative fiction authors bring their stories to life. My approach to editing is rooted in a deep respect for your voice and vision. I view the editorial process as a creative partnership built on trust, mutual understanding, actionable insight, and constructive guidance. Beyond the sentence-level, I pay careful attention to essential narrative elements like pacing, worldbuilding consistency, character arcs, and narrative momentum to ensure your manuscript is as strong as possible. When I'm not working on a client's manuscript, I'm writing my own stories, learning about the ancient world, studying languages, or buried in a book.
